Introduction to Disinfection
Water is life, and clean water means health
Audrey Hepburn
For more than a century, water management has been one of the most enduring and complex policies in the United States. Monumental investments in water infrastructure have supported our health, economic expansion, and growth. However, there is little respect for what is really being done. Public perception of water treatment includes turning on the tap and flushing the toilet. Little thought is given to the hidden system that provides these services. However, these conveniences really are a marvel.
